The PGA Tour makes its respective stop in Texas after the contest in the World Match Play and a week before the first Master of the season, the Augusta Masters, is played in Georgia. Starting this Thursday, March 31, 2022, a classic begins in the most demanding Circuit on the planet, the Valero Texas Open, an event that will be celebrating its 100th birthday, since it was in 1922 when it was called the Texas Open. While in 2002, it adopted the name of the energy company that sponsors the event, in the same city of San Antonio, Valero Energy Corporation.
