Rogelio Gabriel Funes Mori is an Argentine / Mexican soccer player who was born on March 5, 1991, in Mendoza, Argentina. He currently plays in the forward position for C.F. Monterrey in the first division of Mexican soccer. At the national team level, he represents the Mexican National Team.

His beginnings in soccer were a dream for Rogelio; since, together with his twin brother Ramiro, in a North American program called “MLS Dream” in 2008; in which Rogelio was the winner and the prize was that he could participate in the lower echelons of Dallas FC.

After this, Funes Mori returned to his native country and Argentine soccer. Specifically, to River Plate in February 2009, where he debuted in the 2009 opening tournament against Velez.

4 years later, Rogelio Funes Mori emigrated to European football and signed for SL Benfica of Portugal in 2013. Rogelio played 12 games between the main team and the second division team, in which he managed to score 13 goals.

After a year at Benfica, Funes Morin was loaned to Eskişehirspor for the 2014-15 season.

At the end of the loan, the coach Antonio Mohamed, at that time DT of Monterrey, asks Funes Mori as a reinforcement for the squad that would play the 2015 opening tournament.

From here on, he has become known as an important reference in Mexican soccer, so much so that, after his naturalization as a Mexican, he was called to the Mexican national team to be part of the squad led by Gerardo Martino.
