Notwithstanding, the Colchoneros’ poor form as visitors and their leaky defense showed in the second leg, when, in the Signal Iduna Park, they conceded four goals.
Things didn’t stop there, as they had to face Mbappe’s PSG in the semifinals. The Parisians achieved a great feat by beating Barcelona, turning around the score after losing in the Parc des Princes. However, Dortmund stood firm and, with great effectiveness in attack, a magnificent Jadon Sancho, and a little bit of luck (PSG broke a record of shots to the posts in the series), they eliminated their rivals in the French star’s last season with the club.
