Nottingham Forest vs. Arsenal Preview and Free Pick

Super Bowl

Super Bowl

We are now on the 37th matchday out of 38 in the Premier League, and things have reached that one point where there is little chance for things to change at the very top.

The fight for the top spot between Manchester City and Arsenal is on one side at the moment. The only way for the Gunners to steal back the top, is if the Citizens lose 2 of their next matches, and tie one. However, the Londoners would need both of their matches to end up in a victory.

If they have a chance at taking the win, it is right now, as they are facing the 16th-placed team in Nottingham Forest, who has been struggling and is just out of the relegation zone for now.

Arsenal is still a dangerous opponent and they must make a statement and have high hopes. However, winning the Premier is no longer something that depends on them.

Why Bet on Nottingham Forest?

The hosts have a whole host of players missing Saturday’s game due to injury.

Dean Henderson (thigh), Chris Wood (thigh), Giulian Biancone (knee), Neco Williams (jaw), Omar Richards (calf), Scott McKenna (shoulder), Jack Colback (head), and Jonjo Shelvey (calf/internal disciplinary) are all sidelined, while Gustavo Scarpa (calf) and Emmanuel Dennis (knock) are doubts.

Steve Cooper opted to make changes last weekend at Chelsea by switching to a 3-5-2, and Forest’s boss could retain this system for the Gunners’ visit to the City Ground.

Why Bet on Arsenal?

Arsenal’s title dream all but died last weekend, but there’s certainly not a damp squib feel about this contest with Nottingham Forest still in need of points to guarantee their Premier League survival.

Man City’s victory at Everton was swiftly followed by Brighton’s resounding triumph at the Emirates which means City, due to their superior goal difference, need just two points to claim their third successive league title.

They’ll be expected to beat Chelsea on Sunday in the wake of their emphatic win over Real Madrid on Wednesday night, although defeat for the Gunners at the City Ground would also crown them champions.

While it feels like Mikel Arteta’s side has little to play for, it’d be a shame to see Arsenal’s majestic campaign end with a whimper.

Final Betting Analysis: Nottingham Forest vs. Arsenal

Brighton’s victory last Sunday was the last nail in the coffin. The title is gone, and it’s going to be hard for Arteta to rally his players for the trip to Forest.

Cooper’s side has picked up seven points from their last four games to leave them outside the relegation zone with a couple of games remaining, and even a point on Saturday would will taste like victory.

Forest’s home form is legitimately decent, and the significance of the contest for the home side renders this a tough fixture for the Gunners, who will be without several key players once more.

We believe that Nottingham Forest will show themselves strong against an Arsenal that is losing hope, and make enough to secure a point for both sides.

Go for a draw at +340. If you bet $100 in a draw at such odds you could get $340 for a total payout of $440.
