The MLS regular season is ending, and this weekend, after a break of more than a week due to the FIFA date, we will have the emotions of the last matches of each team.

Some are already assured of a spot in the postseason; others are fighting to qualify, while others are eliminated. However, most will have to take to the field to fight for the three points in this last week.

There will be pitched battles to define each conference’s last qualifiers, and we expect to have emotions from start to finish.

We will preview the best games we can enjoy in week 31 of the MLS.

Nashville has not played their best this 2023 MLS season, but they still qualify for the postseason.

The Music currently sits in 7th place in the standings with a record of 13 wins, 10 draws, and 10 losses and is just 1 point behind Atlanta United in 6th place. As such, if some results combine and they beat NY RB, they could move up two positions on this last matchday. However, it will be a complicated task considering that the New York team will try to get the 3 points no matter what.

Nashville comes into this matchday after an excellent victory over New England with a score of 3-2.

On the other hand, New York RB has been playing with many problems all season long, especially offensively. However, the team comes into this last day of the regular season with a chance to get into the postseason if they get the 3 points. Likewise, the Red Bulls will have to wait for what happens in the Montreal game to see if they overtake them (if they beat Nashville) in the standings.

On the other hand, they have the advantage that DC United, ninth in the table, have finished their participation in this regular season, so a draw could help them, considering that they are tied with 40 points. However, they also have to keep an eye on the Chicago Fire, who also have 40 points and have a chance to qualify for the postseason.

New York RB comes into this match after an excellent 3-0 win over Toronto.

For this match, we expect both teams to have few scoring chances and not do much damage to each other. As a result, our betting selection is a draw on the scoreboard.

Cincinnati has been the most consistent team in all of MLS during the 2023 regular season, and there is no doubt about it. The franchise secured the top spot in the standings several weeks ago, so they are playing the last few games as a mere formality.

It should also be noted that the team has not let its foot off the accelerator, as they are maintaining a constant rhythm of play and winning consecutive games. And that is not strange, considering that the postseason will soon begin, and the team needs to be fully prepared for the defining games.

Cincinnati arrives on this last day of the regular season after winning three of the last four matches played, the last being a 1-0 win over Inter Miami away.

On the other hand, Atlanta United had many ups and downs during the MLS regular season. Still, thanks to a good final stretch, the team was able to stay within the top 7 of the standings and thus secure their direct berth for the postseason.

Right now, Atlanta United is sixth in the standings, with a record of 13 wins, 11 draws, and 9 losses, just 2 points behind New England but only 2 points ahead of Nashville. As a result, this game is critical for Atlanta, as they could drop one spot if they lose or move up to fifth place if they win. One way or the other, the team will have to wait for the results of the other games this weekend.

Atlanta United comes into this matchday after drawing their most recent game against Columbus Crew at home with a 1-1 score.

For this match, our winner’s chip goes to Cincinnati.

Cincinnati vs. Atlanta United Betting Pick: Cincinnati

MLS Weekly Preview 31 – Columbus Crew vs. Montreal – Info

The Columbus Crew arrives at this match with their place in the postseason assured since, thanks to their excellent record of 15 wins, 9 draws, and 9 defeats, they managed to remain within the top 7 of the Eastern Conference. Similarly, this team will try to give a blow on the table in this game against Montreal to climb to third place and shorten the hopes of the visitors to qualify for the next phase.

The Crew enters the final week of the regular season on the back of a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United.

On the other hand, we have Montreal, a team still fighting to stay in the top 9 of the Western Conference and thus advance to at least the Final Qualifying Round of the playoffs. Currently, the team has a record of 12 wins, 5 ties, 16 losses, and 41 points.

However, in this last round, up to 4 teams may be fighting with them for their place in the table. As a result, the team depends on themselves to ensure they advance to the postseason.

Montreal is coming off a remarkable win over the Portland Timbers with a score of 4-1.

We do not doubt that the home side will take all 3 points for this match. As a result, our prediction is a 2-1 victory for the Columbus Crew.
