The 2022 Liga MX opening tournament is in the final stretch and, this week, the matches corresponding to the 13th matchday of the championship will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are getting closer and closer to the end of the regular round and right now we have a very exciting general classification table, with América equal first place with Monterrey.
These are followed by Pachuca with 24 points, just 1 point behind first place, then we have Santos and Toluca with 22 points, while the fight for the first four places is closed by Tigres UANL with 21 points. As we can see, there is a difference of only 4 points between first and sixth place, which will be defined in the remaining 5 rounds.
Similarly, the lower zone of the table remained the same. Mazatlán, León, and Cruz Azul remain close to the border that divides the eliminated teams from those that will be in the next Liguilla. With only one point difference, they are just one win away from a place in the top 12.
Below them, we have Atlas and Pumas with 10 points, two teams that could be surprisingly left out of the playoffs after being important teams in previous tournaments. Most of all Atlas, who has won two consecutive championship trophies.
Finally, and as has been the case for most of this tournament, the last place belongs to Querétaro, who would need a miracle to reach the big party.
