Tigres could not defeat FC Juárez and ended up with a 0-0 draw in Matchday 7 of the Clausura 2023, a match with some flashes, but few emotions during the 90 minutes, although the felines have the good news that they remained undefeated.
The first half was very even, with few opportunities on goal, where the locals had 68% ball possession but only three shots on goal, while Juárez had just one.
The clearest chance of the first 45 minutes came from André-Pierre Gignac, who, at minute 44, received a pass from the right by Garza, heading the ball but hitting the post.
The match improved in part of the closing stages, but Tigres’ substitutions did not go as expected. Although they were what the game called for, they didn’t get into the needed rhythm and went unnoticed.
With this result, Tigres dropped to second place in the table with 15 points, three behind Monterrey. Juárez is in seventh place with 10 points.
Result: Tigres (0) – (0) Juárez

Rayados defeated Querétaro 2-0 on Wednesday to regain the lead in the Clausura 2023 Liga MX tournament.
Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori remained alone in second place in the scoring charts with his sixth goal of the championship, and Arturo González scored his fifth goal to help coach Víctor Manuel Vucetich’s team win, with six consecutive victories, one defeat, and 18 points, three more than Tigres UANL.
In the first half, Monterrey had 54% possession of the ball, which was reflected on the scoreboard with a right-footed shot by Funes Mori off a pass from González, who tapped a right-footed shot into the net at minute 25, making it 1-0. However, 10 minutes later, Gonzalez scored Monterrey’s second goal to put the game away.
Monterrey maintained their dominance but seemed content with the two-goal lead against a Querétaro team that was outplayed.
Monterrey now leads the table with a 3-point difference with Tigres UANL, while Querétaro continues to sink further and further down the table.
Result: Monterrey (2) – (0) Querétaro

Chivas’ home drought during the Clausura 2023 Liga MX tournament came to an end, as for the first time, they were able to earn three points in front of their fans after beating Xolos de Tijuana 2-1, in a game corresponding to matchday 7, with an outstanding individual performance by Víctor Guzmán.
The game was played at the Akron Stadium and showed Chivas an alternative lineup to encourage rotation; however, they were not as convincing as on other occasions. Likewise, the visitors did not do what was necessary to face a team decimated by absences.
Tijuana was able to go ahead on the scoreboard with a goal by Federico Lértora in the 26th minute. However, this was one of the few dangerous approaches the visiting team had in this match.
Before the end of the first half, Víctor Guzmán equalized the match 1-1 through the penalty spot.
In the game’s final minutes, misfortune struck in the Xolos goal. A handball by Ismael Govea inside the area gave the locals their second penalty kick of the night, which Victor Guzmán also converted to give his team the victory with a score of 2-1.
Result: Chivas (2) – (1) Tijuana
