LaLiga Summer Tour is here and we’ll have an excellent game at the Akron Stadium, Chivas Guadalajara’s home, once Sevilla and Betis hit the field for an off-shore Clásico Sevillista. These two teams have, almost, shown equal form in this preseason, so we hope to have a tight match with all the emotion that a local derby usually brings.
The preseason is coming to an end, and this weekend we’ll have the FA Community Shield. However, there’s still a fair share of good friendly games to enjoy. Although, all the focus is on the transfer market, as we are entering its last month and things are looking interesting with many heavy transfers still waiting to happen.
For now, let’s focus on these two traditional Spanish sides.
When:
Wednesday, August 2nd – 11:00 pm ET at the Akron Stadium, Guadalajara, MX
Betting Odds:
Sevilla +138
Betis +170
Draw:
+220
Where can I watch it?
Why bet on Sevilla?
The Nervionenses have been struggling this preseason. They started in their home country, getting victories over some lower-league teams. However, they later went to Germany, where they stumbled with two defeats against teams in the Bundesliga 2. They appeared to be a little more serious against Crystal Palace, winning on penalties.
Now they have to face their biggest rivals and want to make a statement before the season start. However, they have many things to improve.
Why bet on Betis?
The Cuadro Bético started the preseason on the wrong foot, getting two defeats in two matches by the same score (3-1). However, they improved a little after facing some English rivals, getting a win against Middlesbrough and a draw with Burnley.
Now they have to face their traditional city rivals in a match that, even if it’s friendly, always makes the t-shirt weigh. In this sense, we believe they’ll try to show their best face before facing Real Sociedad for the Summer Tour and then starting the Campaign against Villareal in LaLiga.
Free Betting Pick: Sevilla vs. Betis
These two teams have a lot of history between them, although not so much in a friendly. If we take as a reference last season, we may think that the Beticos are in much better form, although in this preseason they are basically on equal ground.
In this sense, the odds show a little favoritism to Sevilla that comes, we believe, from the fact that the Nervionenses tend to get the upper hand over their local rivals quite frequently, although they drew both games in LaLiga last season.
In this sense, we believe a draw is the most plausible result.
Go for a draw at +220. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $220 for a total payout of $320.
