Final: West Ham vs. Fiorentina

The UEFA Conference League has reached its last step with the final between West Ham and Fiorentina. This is just the second edition of the tournament. However, it has proven to be quite successful, as the participant teams receive good attention from the media and the stadiums are generally full.

The English representative and the Italian one come with a sole objective: to fill themselves with glory after many seasons in the shadows of mid-table obscurity and irrelevancy. The Violas have been a little better over history, trophy related, but both are pretty traditional clubs, with many histories, and that had experienced pretty harsh lows in the recent past.

Whatever the case, nothing else matters more than to win a trophy in the final game of the season for both clubs, celebrating a closing matchup that will serve as the last appetizer before the most important match in club football in the world next Saturday.

Why Bet on West Ham United?

The Londoners have a date with history once again. Last season they fell short in their marvelous quest in the Europa League, as, after reaching the semifinals being favorites for the trophy and having eliminated nonetheless than Sevilla, an Impressive Franckfurt had the upper hand, being the champions after beating Rangers in the final.

This time they also had a bad time in the semifinals against an underdog. However, they managed to pull the chestnuts out of the fire to reach this final date. The Hammers are one of the most expensive squads in the entire competition, yes, but they come after a disastrous domestic season. Being capable of cleaning your mind after losing over and over and being a relegation contender, to do positive things in Europe, is remarkable.

Talking about their antics in England. The team is pretty much one of the flops of the season as, after two editions of the Premier League where they competed excellently at the top, they had quite the downfall this time. This was after filling the squad with international players from many important national teams, so they hope to finish the campaign with a trophy at least, act as if nothing happened, and then start next season retaking things where they left them in the 2021/22 tournament.

Why bet on AFC Fiorentina?

The traditional Italian team comes to this final in a different way than their rivals, as they had a normal Serie A season while competing fairly well in an international competition. True be told, like West Ham, they had one of the most impressive squads in this tournament.

Same as with the Hammers, the Violas had a harder time than expected in the semifinals, especially considering the rival, but managed to put things on track just in time.

Yes, they suffered a lot with an FC Basel that is far from its best times (some will remember that the Swiss club was a traditional guest in the Champions League some years ago, beating teams like both Manchester’s Clubs and Bayern, also getting to Knockout stages), but they still managed to reach this stage in good form.

Last season they finished 7th, while this time they ended the league as 8th. Not bad, just that, unluckily for them, Atalanta revived this time. They also reached the semifinals of the Coppa Italia, so it was a good, successful season, for a team accustomed to being the best of the rest in the Serie A, and that could even end with a new trophy on the shelf.

Final Betting Analysis: West Ham United vs. AFC Fiorentina

Seeing at both clubs’ squads, West Ham may look superior, but the Italians come in a better rhythm so we could say that things at pretty much balanced. This is a match between two clubs that are not accustomed to this stage. At least, not in recent times, so we can expect a similar thing to what we saw in last season’s Europa League final. A slow approach, even clumsy at times, where neither team wants to ruin its achievement with defensive mistakes.

In this context, we believe that the English side, just by names alone, has the quality to surpass their rivals by a short result. The Hammers also have a better squad depth, so we expect them to be less tired than their foes who, pretty much, put a similar starting 11 most of the time this season. Go for a 2-1 victory for West Ham.

Go for a victory for the English at +164. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could win $164 for a total payout of $264.
