Why Bet on the USMNT?

The United States is always the favorite. It is rare that when they face a Concacaf rival other than Mexico, they are behind in the bets, and this is not one of those moments. In addition, the level of the team continues to rise, with very good players playing in Europe. All this while the level of the rest of the continent has stagnated.

On Friday they faced Granada as a visitor and crushed them 1-7. Ricardo Pepi and Weston McKennie scored doubles, while Brendan Aaronson, Christian Pulisic, and Alejandro Zendejas scored the others.

Anthony Hudson’s team is first with 7 points, so a tie deposits it in the Final Four of the Concacaf Nations League. However, we are completely sure that they will go out to Orlando City, where they will be playing for the first time in history, with the mission of passing over their rivals.

Why Bet on El Salvador?

El Salvador has little to lose and much to gain. It is no secret to anyone that the United States is the super favorite and that if the Salvadorans win it would be a miracle and something historic, and they are looking for that. With 5 points, they are guaranteed to play in the next Gold Cup and stay in League A. However, they dream of going to the Final Four.

It will be the first official match they play this year, but they did very badly in friendlies, as they lost to Peru (4-1), Nicaragua (1-0), and Honduras (1-0), the latter last Wednesday. In the previous game against the United States, played in June 2022, they almost achieved the heroic, but Jordan Morris scored at the minute 90+1 for the North Americans and it was a 1-1 final. If they had won, the story today would be different.

Among the curiosities of the call are the brothers Cristian, Bryan, and Mayer Gil, all strikers. This is the first call for Bryan who is having a good tournament in the Colombian league. Alex Roldán, a defender of the Seattle Sounders, is possibly the player with the most experience and a reference on this team.

Never in its history have they been able to beat the United States as visitors and they only have 1 win in a friendly in 1992.

Final Betting Analysis: USMNT vs. El Salvador

As we discussed earlier, for the United States not to win, a miracle would have to happen. It would be catastrophic if the North American giant does not surpass El Salvador, a technically limited team with players who play mostly in local soccer or the USL Championship. We forecast that the locals will win.

At MyBookie.ag we find that the United States is the favorite of the match with a Moneyline of -520, while El Salvador has +1800 and the draw is at +400.

The last time they met was on June 14 of last year and they tied 1-1 with goals from Alexander Larin (ES) and Jordan Morris (US), while the last time they did so in the United States was in January 2022 and the locals won 1-0 with a goal from Antonee Robinson.

The only time El Salvador won was in a friendly in 1992 with Jorge “El Mágico” González and it was 2-0. The record is 27 American wins, 7 draws, 1 loss, 62 goals for, and 16 against. In addition, playing the United States at home, there have been 12 wins and 2 draws.

Go for a straight win for the United States in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 on the win at -520, you will gain $19 for a total payout of $119.
