The matchday 17 of the Brasileirão has just passed and the matches we had were quite entertaining, as we saw none of the top 10 teams in the league lose.
The top teams are fighting hard, and we can see it clearly, as 6 of the top 10 teams scored 3 points in this matchday, while the other 4 tied their games.
Two of the teams in the top three decided to make a statement, including the top-placed Botafogo, and the tied for 2nd place Palmeiras, who decided to be relentless and both win their matches with a 4-1 score.
Coritiba lost their momentum and are stuck in the relegation zone until they get a victory at the very least; they have a chance to get out of relegation but this slowed down that process.
Let’s go right into what happened on each of the matches that took place on Matchday 17th so that we are all on the same page as we go into the next games.

It was in the 61st minute that Yuri Alberto scored the 2nd for Corinthians, and even though Vasco Da Gama managed to pick up the pace and score their own in the 70th minute, the penalty shot from Roger Guedes at the 73rd spoiled their fun.

Where can I watch it?
With some of the other teams in the top showcasing all over the weekend, the scoreboard leaders did not want to be left out of the party.
Botafogo started fast and hard, scoring their first goal in 3 minutes.
A quick goal was an impressive feat, but it got to their head and Coritiba decided to get back at them as they saw an opening to score back at them on the 9th minute.
It seemed like Botafogo didn’t enjoy this retaliation, as they went all out and scored the 2nd goal on the 36th, and the 3rd on the added time of the first half.
That was not enough for the scoreboard leaders, as they went all in for a 4th goal in the 51st minute, having both Gustavo Sauer and Tiquinho Soares score two goals each to make Coritiba’s night quite sour.
