Why Bet on Atlético Mineiro?

It has not been the best season for Atlético Mineiro, which, with 18 points, is in 11th place in the Brasileirão, closer to relegation than to the lead. In their most recent game, they drew 1-1 with Atlético Goianiense, and although they have now gone three games without defeat, two were tied at home, and they only have one victory in front of their fans, obtaining seven points out of a possible 18. Undoubtedlya very poor record for a team that hopes to fight for the title.

With 16 goals conceded, they are one of the worst defenses in the championship, and this is something that coach Gabriel Milito will have to improve, as they have conceded goals in eight consecutive matches. On the other hand, they have scored 18 goals and are one of the best attacks, but the strange thing is that Hulk, their great star, has only one goal. In this item, the one who has stood out the most is Paulinho, who has five goals.

Two players who have also been active on the attacking front are Gustavo Scarpa and Eduardo Vargas, and they will be able to play again this week. The former was suspended for accumulation of yellow cards, while the latter was in the Copa América, but Chileis already eliminatedso he can play.

Another player who could return is Bruno Fuchs, but Mauricio Lemos, Renzo Saravia, and Alisson are still injured, while Guilherme Arana and Alan Franco are still in the Copa América.

Why Bet on Flamengo?

Flamengo is leading the Brasileirão with 27 points, but it is a very tight tournament with two teams within three points and Palmeiras four points behind but with a game in hand (today vs. Corinthians). The Mengão is not the same as in other years, it is not the machine that crushed its rivals. They have just beaten Cruzeiro 2-1, and in only two of 13 matches have they won by more than one goal: 2-0 against Corinthians on May 11 and 1-6 against Vasco on June 2. Most of the rest have been 2-1.

One of the reasons for this low offensive output has been Gabriel Barbosa. Gabigol is no longer the same lethal striker who was voted best player in South America or a member of America’s ideal team. He is a regular substitute and has only scored once in the tournament. The off-pitch issues got the best out of him after several seasons in a downward curve, and maybe a change would be what both parties need.

On the other hand, Pedro has continued to show his talent. He has scored in three consecutive matches and is the Brasileirao’s top scorer with six goals.

Tite has several key absentees for this match. Uruguayans Matias Viña, Guillermo Varela, Nicolas de la Cruz, and Giorgian De Arrascaeta are with Uruguay at the Copa America, while Everton and Igor Jesus are injured. Chile’s Erick Pulgar could return, as it’s the same case as Eduardo Vargas.

The Fla has nine consecutive games scoring at least one goal and has only twice been blanked.

Final Betting Analysis: Atlético Mineiro vs. Flamengo

The last time these two teams met was on November 29 last year, and Atletico Mineiro won 0-3 away, while the last time they played in Belo Horizonte, Flamengo won 1-2. They have 13 matches without a draw in the league, and the last time they did so was in 2017.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Flamengo as the favorite. Their Moneyline shows 2.56, Atlético Mineiro has 2.86, and the draw is at 3.18.

It will be an entertaining match between two teams that aspire to be champions and are preparing for that, and although Flamengo’s level is not the best, it has been enough to keep them in first place and will win them this game as well. We’ll go for a 1-2.

Go for a win for Flamengo. If you bet $100 at 2.56, you will gain $156 for a total payout of $256.
