The CONCACAF Gold Cup is one of the most traditional competitions in the Americas, as it brings together teams from North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and guests.
Mexico, the United States, and Canada have been the only winners of the Gold Cup since it began in 1991. Usually held in the United States, every two years, the competition measures the strength of the main powers in North America, heating the great rivalry existing between the United States and Mexico.
Mexico is the greatest champion. Before 1991, the Gold Cup had a different format and used other names, as it had not yet established itself as a solid competition in its organization. Between 1963 and 1989, it was possible to see Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Haiti being champions.
In the current edition, 12 teams participate, separated into 4 groups with 4 selections. Each day, only one or two groups play their games. This Sunday, the teams from groups A and B will enter the field, in what is the decisive round of the group stage.

Where Can I Watch?
In what seems to be the most unbalanced match we’ll cover up, USA and Trinidad face with the qualification at stake. Whatever the odds say, the Caribbean nation may not be one of the strongest of the confederation but is one of the most organized and professional island teams.
They still have a chance to go to the next stage, although this is thanks to their victory over Saint Kitts and Neves, so it’s not a good test. However, we expect them to be much more competitive than what the odds tell.
On the side of the USA, the locals were surprised by a solid Jamaica that almost snatch a win from them in the first match. However, thanks to their draw and their categoric victory over Saint Kitts, they are in first place in the group, as everyone expected. This is not the best version of the USA, as their main players are on a deserved vacation after participating in the Nations League. Either way, they have more than enough to win this match.
If you put $100 into USA’s win, you could get $11.81 back for a total payout of $111.81.
2023 Gold Cup Matchday 3 – Honduras vs. Haiti – Betting Odds & Free Pick – Info
When:
Sunday, July 2nd at 09:00 PM ET in the Bank of America Stadium
Moneyline odds:
Honduras +141
Haiti +195
Draw +238
Where Can I Watch?
Honduras and Haiti face each other for the third round of the Gold Cup, representing group B, which still has undefined positions. Mexico leads with 6 points, followed by Haiti (3), Qatar (1), and Honduras (1).
Sunday’s confrontation will put face to face the last place in the group – Honduras – against Haiti, who already beat Qatar and scored a goal in Mexico. In the 2021 edition, Haiti and Honduras failed to advance to the final stages, having been eliminated early: Haiti finished 3rd in the group, while Honduras managed to qualify, but lost to Mexico in the quarterfinals.
Honduras lost to Mexico in their debut and only managed a draw against Qatar. Haiti beat Qatar but lost to Mexico, 3-1 – a smaller goal difference compared to Honduras, who lost 4-0 to the Mexicans.
Given the current balance of the group, we believe that Honduras is capable of winning this game.
If you put $100 into Honduras’ win, you could get $141 back for a total payout of $241.

Where Can I Watch?
Two of the teams participating in the last World Cup will face each other in this third round of the Gold Cup. Mexico leads the group, with 6 points, and is the big favorite to win not only this game but the entire tournament.
The Tri is trying to remain the biggest winner of the tournament and, for that, it needs to prevent the USA from winning again – they were champions in the 2021 edition. So far, they have scored 7 goals and conceded only one, showing everyone that they are at a level above their competitors.
Many Mexican athletes play for big clubs in Europe, which increases the team’s experience and makes the selection even stronger. Luis Romo, a player for Monterrey, has already scored two goals and is the top scorer of the Mexican national team in the Gold Cup.
This will be the first time that Mexico and Qatar will face each other in football history. This unique meeting will be a special ingredient for both teams, who dream of qualifying. Qatar will be without Akram Afif, one of their most experienced players. Mexico has great chances to win this game.
If you put $100 into Mexico’s win, you could get $36 back for a total payout of $136.
2023 Gold Cup Matchday 3 – Canada vs. Cuba – Betting Odds & Free Pick – Info

Moneyline Odds:
Canada -800
Cuba +1775

Where Can I Watch?
Finally, we’ll cover the match between another one of the favorites and an Island nation that has been doing good lately. Cuba made good participation in the last Nations League’s group stage, so they will dispute the next edition in League A, alongside the Concacaf elite. They also managed to qualify for this tournament but have been a disappointment so far.
However, we could say that the political issues that always surround this nation’s teams were the problem, as many players took the opportunity to defect. This is normal but still seems to have taken a great toll. They come with 2 defeats and were already eliminated.
Canada has been a disappointment too, especially with their draw against Guadeolupe, the surprise package of this edition. However, in their defense, they put all their weapons in the Nations League as the USA, and their most important players are now on vacation. It may seem obvious, but they don’t have the same squad deep as the most traditional powerhouses of this conference, so, even if we believe they’ll win and pass to the next round, we don’t think they’ll go far.
If you put $100 into Canada’s win, you could get $12.50 back for a total payout of $112.50.
