The 17th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup continues onto the second matchday of the group stage, and things are getting exciting.
The 2nd Matchday starts today, Wednesday 28th, and continues up to Saturday, July 1st.

After barely making it to the main draw after passing two rounds of qualifiers on penalties, Saint Kitts and Nevis started the competition as expected – with a 3-0 loss to Trinidad and Tobago.
Given that this was pretty much the only game in which they could’ve hoped to achieve anything since their next opponents are USA and Jamaica, it’s safe to say that the humble Caribbean team won’t have a good time in the next two rounds.
While the USA isn’t playing their best team at this tournament, they are still one of the favorites to win it, especially since they are one of the hosts.
However, the team didn’t have the best of starts since they drew with Jamaica in the first round of group stages, but with a couple of wins against St Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad & Tobago, they will secure the next stage, which is more than realistic.

The first round at Gold Cup was very important for Haiti and their chances of reaching the next stage and the team delivered in style by beating Qatar 2-1.
So, Haiti now has a good position ahead of the final two rounds of group stages against Mexico and Honduras, but the job is not done yet and they might even need to win one of these two matches to secure a spot in the next phase, depending on other results.
It was a convincing performance and win in the first round for Mexico and a 4-0 victory over Honduras.
The team is thoroughly shown why they are one of the main candidates to lift the Gold Cup trophy this year and if they can continue in the same manner, they will certainly go very deep in the tournament.
We expect to see it is similar results to Mexico’s last match.

This match showcases who we believe are the two strongest teams in the group, so we will be eager to watch this clash unfold.
We expect Canada to pick up their pace from the last clash, but we think this might end up as a draw, and that they will have to bank on the 3rd match to secure their spot.
