The group stage of the League of Legends World Championship Play-in has already ended. We already know the two teams that are directly classified to the LOL WORLD CUP 2021 group stage, as well as the crossing of the teams in the semifinal. As well, we know the teams that advanced directly to the final by finishing second in their group.
LOL World Cup 2021: Play in Group A
Group A was dominated entirely by LNG Esports, who managed to win their 4 games in the group stage. So, they were already assigned to group D of the League of Legends World Championship. That group is made up of the teams MAD Lions, Gen.G Esports, Team Liquid, and LNG Esports.
Hanwha Life Esports, qualified in the second place of Group A, therefore, it automatically advances to the final of the Play-in. While PEACE and RED Canids qualified in 3rd and 4th place, respectively. This places them in the semifinals, which they will play against each other, to face in the finals against the first place of Group B.
LOL World Cup 2021: Play in Group B
Group B was even more fought since an extra game had to be played to determine who would occupy first place and fourth place. Over there, the teams finished the group stage with the same record.
The first-place match and direct qualification to the Worlds 2021 main event were played by DetonatioN FocusMe vs. Cloud9. Something unexpected, since Cloud9 lost the last match against Unicorns Of Love.
While the match to define the 4th place was between Beyond Gaming vs Unicorns of Love, which ended up qualifying Beyond Gaming to the semifinals, after crushing their rivals in this extra match.
The actions of day 4 (Playoff) of the Worlds 2021 Play-in, begin this Friday, October 8, 2021. 2 games will be played (Bo5), which we will detail below with their respective betting lines.
