Why Bet on Ecuador?
Ecuador lost their clash against Venezuela in the first matchday, in a game where Enner Valencia’s risky challenge and resulting red card were key for the result. Before that, the game was more or less balanced, but after those events and the half-time changes by the Vinotinto, the Tricolor was dominated, and the result was fair.
Even so, they managed to go in front five minutes before the break but could not hang on. In this sense, it is clear that the equatorial team has the quality to compete, but they seem to choke in the most important matches, failing to qualify from a group phase in a major tournament in decades.
Ecuador’s defeat was their third in the last nine matches.
Why Bet on Jamaica?
Jamaica didn’t have the excuse of having a man less and equally lost in an entertaining game with some interesting attacking approach. Even with great names in some areas of the pitch, the Reggae Boyz seem unable to leave the mental block against the CONCACAF heavyweights.
Things are not looking too good yet for the Jamaicans, who continue to search for a first-ever victory at the Copa América and, more daunting, their first goal. In seven Copa America affairs, the Jamaicans have not collected a single point.
Heimir Hallgrimsson thought his side had gone in front early in the second half, only to have a Michail Antonio headed goal ruled out by VAR for offside. An unstoppable volley from Gerardo Arteaga put the Mexicans in front and ultimately ended a three-match winning run for the Reggae Boyz.
Final Betting Analysis: Ecuador vs. Jamaica
Wednesday will be the fifth time they meet Ecuador on the international stage , and Jamaica lost four of those encounters, with their only positive result being a 0-0 draw in an August 2009 friendly played at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
Even with their goal ruled out, the Reggae Boys were quite wasteful in their opener and could have difficulty penetrating a well-organized Ecuadorian backline that has bounced back well from setbacks.
We also need to take into account that, this time, Ecuador will be trying to keep eleven men on the field, which should help them keep their opponents at bay. We’ll go for a 1-0 in for the South Americans.
Go for a victory for the Tri at 1.63. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $63 for a total payout of $163.
