Atlético Nacional and Deportes Tolima lead their groups
Last Sunday, December 8, the last matches of the BetPlay League semifinals took place. In the sixth round of the semifinal stage, Atlético Nacional and Deportes Tolima emerged as winners of their respective groups. Deportes Tolima secured its place by defeating Once Caldas, while Nacional did the same against Santa Fe in Bogota.
Both Nacional and Tolima will face each other in the final, with Nacional aiming for its 18th title and Tolima vying for its fourth championship.
As for the venue of the BetPlay League final, according to Dimayor regulations, the team with the most points in the league will have the advantage of playing the deciding match at home. Nacional secured 45 points, while Tolima accumulated 44 points, making Nacional the team that would play the final at its home stadium.
The final will start at the Manuel Murillo Toro Stadium in Ibagué and will conclude at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in MedellÃn, marking the third direct final between Tolima and Nacional, after the previous ones in 2018 and 2022, where Tolima won in 2018 and Nacional in 2022.
