Meanwhile, Internacional continues its upward trend with a victory over Criciúma. Flamengo managed to defeat Cruzeiro as visitors, keeping their place among the top four.

Rodrigo Garro opened the scoring in the 41st minute after receiving a pass from Matheus Franca and shooting from mid-range to beat goalkeeper Weverton. Yuri Alberto added the second goal at the 56-minute mark, capitalizing on a lapse in Palmeiras’ defense.
The Timão sits in 13th place with 38 points, marking their third consecutive victory as they move past their Copa Sudamericana elimination, and also leaving the relegation zone. The Verdão is in second place with 61 points, six points behind Botafogo.

The Brasileirão title seems unlikely for Flamengo, but with their 1-0 victory over Cruzeiro as visitors, they aim to secure qualification for the 2025 Copa Libertadores.
