Botafogo regained the lead after their 2-0 win over Fortaleza, who are now two points behind the Fogão, although with a game in hand.

In a very entertaining match, with several scoring chances, shots, and posts, Palmeiras won 2-0 away to Athletico Paranaense and moved three points behind Botafogo, while the Furacão dropped to 12th place.
