The Tricolor do Pici beat Corinthians 1-0 and took advantage of the draw between Bahia and Botafogo to take first place in the championship.

With Estêvão as the star player, Palmeiras crushed Cuiabá 5-0 and moved to third place with 44 points, four behind leaders Fortaleza.

Bahia showed it is a good home team and held leaders Botafogo to an entertaining 0-0 draw.

For the Paulista team, it was a hard blow, as they have only won one of their last four away games and lost the lead in the tournament, being one point behind Fortaleza while having one more game.

Bahia also dropped one place in the table and is now sixth with 39 points, but still in the Copa Libertadores zone.

The big winner of the weekend was Fortaleza. The Tricolor do Pici defeated Corinthians 1-0 and is the new leader of the Brasileirão.

Flamengo achieved a hard-fought and important 2-1 victory over Red Bull Bragantino thatkeeps them in the fight for the Brazilian title.

The Mengão took the lead after 16 minutes with a header by Michael and outplayed their opponents but could not increase the advantage.

In the second half, Bragantino’s equalizer came from a corner kick after a rejection by Fla’s defense was left to Douglas Mendes, who, alone on the edge of the six-yard box, scored to make it 1-1.

However, just two minutes after that, a rebound from a Red Bull defender would hit his teammate, Raul, and into his net. An own goal and 2-1 for Flamengo.

Now, the Carioca side is in fourth place with 44 points, although with a game in handRB Bragantino dropped out of the international cup places and is 14th with 27 points.
