José Carlos Ramírez is the current unified super lightweight champion owning the WBC and WBO champion belts. Ramirez was the # 1 lightweight in the entire United States and represented them at the 2012 London Olympics in his amateur career.

The current WBC and WBO champion, Jose Ramirez, will face the current champion of the International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Association, the Scotsman Josh Taylor, for the undisputed world championship of the super lightweight category this Saturday, May 22.
