Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather – Predictions, Picks & Betting Lines

One of the most anticipated fights in the world of exhibition boxing this year is just around the corner.

As the undefeated Floyd Mayweather will face controversial YouTuber Logan Paul, who has immersed himself in the world of boxing, alongside his brother Jake Paul.

This fight will take place this Sunday, June 6, at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida, USA.

After a typical press conference, things got out of hand when Logan Paul’s younger brother, Jake, grabbed Floyd’s cap in a game of “Gotcha Hat”, resulting in tempers flaring.

With his offenses and taunts towards Mayweather, even Connor McGregor never triggered him so much on the fight’s promotion day.  Mayweather lost control, and from the first moment, he began the insults, slaps, and shoves.

At that time, the press conference was over, and those present and members of the security teams controlled the situation while social media went wild.

This recent quote from Mayweather sums it all up nicely:

“I prefer to go out, still entertain and have fun.

“Just because I still go out, entertain and have fun doesn’t mean that I still wanna fight for 12 rounds.

“I think we’ve got a six-round exhibition. I think it’s gonna be very entertaining for the people, I think people are gonna love it.

“$35million for 12 rounds or $100million for six rounds – big difference.”

How did Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather get here?

Undefeated Floyd Mayweather enters this exhibition fight with an impressive 50-0 professional record.

The 44-year-old boxer has not had an official or serious fight since he fought Andre Berto in 2015, the same year as the famous fight against Philippine champion Manny Pacquiao, whom he easily defeated.

Then in 2017, he faced mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor, who had never boxed professionally before in his career, and was defeated by knockout in the 10th round. This victory earned him credit for his 50th victory in the ring.

In 2018 he organized the last exhibition fight he has had, which was classified as the most ridiculous of all, against kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year’s Eve, a fight that, according to North American journalists, left him a profit of 9 million USD.

Logan Paul’s Boxing Journey

On the other side of the ring, we have the rookie and self-proclaimed boxer Logan Paul, a famous North American YouTuber known for uploading content to this platform in recent years.

Logan Paul, 26, first ventured into boxing in 2018 in a fight against fellow British YouTuber KSI

Paul lost this fight by a unanimous decision. Supposedly, this fight generated 1.3 million dollars. A rematch in 2019 in Los Angeles resulted in a win for Paul.

This fight is ramping up to be a good one, especially after the fiery press conference and the offensive statements of Paul towards Mayweather. We will have to wait to see how Floyd gets to this fight.

Mayweather vs Paul on Social Media

There’s a-lot of criticism being hurled at Logan (and Jake) Paul for the circus they’re creating around boxing.

Some die-hard boxing fans see this as the death of professional boxing.

Logan Paul – Legendary Social Media Troll

Love him, or hate him, Logan Paul knows how to use the power of social media to promote his own agenda. While Logan is definitely taking boxing seriously, the reality is he’s here for the PPV revenue.

One sure bet: Logan Paul is going to be ramping up the social media messaging in the days leading up to fight night…

Betting Lines and Odds for Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather

While it is true that the age difference is remarkable and more than anything in a sport where reflexes are essential, in this case, the experience, hierarchy, and the absolute undefeated of Floyd Mayweather is what weighs.

Logan Paul has done plenty of trash talking, saying in interviews that it will be easy for him to beat a grandfather and that after this fight, no one will be able to say that Mayweather is invincible.

Still, he is a young man who is just starting in boxing, so that their words have to make them count within the ring.

For this fight, and I think all the bookmakers agree, the winner will undoubtedly be Floyd Mayweather.
