Monte Carlo, Monaco, is our next stop as we go to take a seat inside the Casino de Monte Carlo, which is the chosen venue for a short but fun 4 fights card, which has 3 titles at stake, and is headlined by the clash for the IBF World Super Featherweight Title.
The main event fight has the undefeated Joe Cordina, who will be defending his title from the American Challenger, Edward ‘Kid’ Vazquez.
There aren’t too many fights on the card, so we are going in and out, but with three title clashes in the mix and an exciting main event, we are excited.
Only one of these two fighters can come out of the ring with the belt, so let’s get ready to dive into detail with everything that should unfold this Saturday.
When:
Saturday, November 4 at 4:00 pm ET
Ring walks time:
(Estimated) 5:00 pm ET
Moneyline odds:
Joe Cordina -850
Edward Vazquez +520
Where To Watch:
Why Bet on Joe Cordina?
Cordina (16-0, 9 KOs) is a two-time world champion and an elite-level operator. Unsavory boxing politics saw the Welshman stripped of the title he wrenched from Kenichi Ogawa, but Cordina dutifully regained it in his very next fight by outslugging fierce Tajikistani southpaw Shavkat Rakhimov.
Why Bet on Edward Vazquez?
Vazquez (15-1, 3 KOs) is a cerebral fighter from Fort Worth, Texas. Ironically, the 28-year-old made his name in defeat when he pushed American hotshot Ray Ford to the limit in February 2022. Many ringsiders believed that Vazquez did enough to upset the young prospect, but the decision went against him.
Final Betting Analysis: Joe Cordina vs. Edward Vazquez
The Welshman has turned in elite-level displays in his last two fights, destroying Igawa to win his first world title and engaging in a Fight of the Year with Rakhimov to collect his second.
The champion has speed, skill, good movement, and his punching power is undeniable. Cordina also punches in combination to head and body, so if you offer him a target, you’re going to get hurt. There’s a saying that you improve as a world champion, and his progress follows that mantra.
Vazquez is a prohibitive underdog, but he shouldn’t be completely overlooked. Ford thought he’d be in for a much easier night against the Texas-based star and came very close to losing his unbeaten record. He’s hungry for success and will not be overawed by Cordina’s unbeaten record or reputation.
We think Vazquez will put forth a serious effort against Cordina, and he might win a round or two on aggression. However, as the fight goes past the midway point, Cordina’s accurate hitting and concussive punch power will begin to take effect, and the champion will force a stoppage late.
Go for a victory for the defending champion at -850. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $11.76 for a total payout of $111.76.
