Fight Card May 21st: David Benavidez vs. David Lemieux

Benavidez, a former two-time WBC 168-pound champion, fought two times in 2022 and won both outings by TKO.

In March 2021, he stopped Ronald Ellis in the 11th round.

Then in November, the 25-year-old dispatched Kyrone Davis in seven rounds to remain undefeated in 25 fights.

Now, he steps inside the ring with perhaps his most formidable opponent to date.

Lemieux, a former middleweight champion, has gone 9-1 with five knockouts since losing the IBF middleweight title to Gennadiy Golovkin in October 2015.

Most recently, he stopped David Zegarra in the second round last June.

David Benavidez has been doing incredibly well as he is 25-0-0 with 22 knockouts throughout his career.

His 88 knockout percentage is absolutely dominant as he knows when to strike and how to provide significant strikes in a timely manner.

He has ended each of his last five fights with a knockout and that has gained him some extra confidence.

Benavidez has been one of the best fighters in the ring and has the best chance to win the interim WBC Super Middleweight Championship heading into the fight this weekend.

Fight Card May 21st: Yoelvis Gomez vs. Jorge Cota

The 24-year-old Cuban Gomez (5-0, 5 KOs) burst onto the scene stateside on Christmas Day 2021, blasting out the typically-durable Clay Collard in one-round in a nationally televised duel.

While he has trained in his gym since arriving in Las Vegas last year, Saturday night will be the first time he will have the renowned trainer Ismael Salas in his corner, as he looks to tackle the toughest test of his young career.

Cota is a very dangerous fight for anyone.

As a Veteran, He has a lot of experience and has been in the ring with a lot of good fighters.

We however place our betting token on the stopping power that Gomez brings into the table.

Benavidez vs. Lemieux Betting Pick: David “El Bandera Roja” Benavidez

Gomez vs. Cota Betting Pick: Yoelvis “La Joya” Gomez
