Why Bet on Canelo Alvarez

Alvarez has looked like a monster since leaving the middleweight division, scoring four stoppages in five fights across super middleweight and light heavyweight.

Alvarez’s recent performances suggest that he is in his prime. He’s hitting harder, fighting smarter, and putting together punishing wins over respectable opponents.

The clinics he put on Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant last year emphasized that Alvarez is the total package.

If Canelo can’t get bombed out, he needs to be outsmarted.

Why Bet on Dmitry Bivol

Bivol is up to the task as an accomplished amateur and the best technical fighter Alvarez has faced since Erislandy Lara in 2014.

The Russian giant is currently 19 matches undefeated and won’t want to give up his light heavyweight title so easily.

Then again, Bivol might just be too conventional for his good here.

If he wants to strictly keep this a boxing match, he’ll get outworked by the faster fighter.

Final Betting Analysis – Canelo Alvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol:

Canelo is expected to pass this test in a pretty comfortable way.

Bivol likes to control and dominate the ring but this won’t be possible against the highly skilled Mexican. He may emerge victorious in a few rounds, but after the halfway stage we think we’ll see Alvarez come into his own.

In the later rounds, Bivol will tire and that’s where we think Alvarez will pounce and subsequently knock him out.
