Why Bet on George Kambosos Jr.

Kambosos hasn’t been active since his shocking win over Teofimo Lopez, but he’s a rough fighter who will be right on his rival from bell to bell.

While Kambosos’ upset over Lopez was sensational, a bit of luster was lost when it was revealed that Lopez was fighting with excessive air trapped in his chest.

Why Bet on Devin Haney

Haney is an excellent technician with a solid jab and great movement, but his power and durability are potential weaknesses.

He recently put on a great performance against Joseph Diaz, but it didn’t erase the stinkers he turned in against faded veterans Yuriorkis Gamboa and Jorge Linares.

Final Betting Analysis – George Kambosos Jr. vs. Devin Haney:

This fight has heavy “Bull vs. Matador” vibes, as Kambosos’ path to win is to bully Haney, who needs to stick and move to avoid getting smothered by the hometown champ.

Though Haney has it rough, Kambosos may not be as ready as people think for what the American is bringing him. For someone who was on the verge of dying in the ring, an ailing Lopez managed to floor him, and earlier bouts against Lee Selby and Mickey Bey saw him struggle against boxer-minded opponents.

Outside of Vasily Lomachenko, Haney is the best pure boxer in the division. Having his lead trainer absent is problematic, but it would be a foolish gamble that he isn’t ready for the biggest fight of his career.

If Kambosos were a bigger puncher, then Haney would have a real problem on his hands.

There’s nothing the Australian does that isn’t out of the norm. He’s a typical pressure fighter that lacks the speed and brute power to force Haney to change his approach.
