The United States Grand Prix is a motor racing event that has been held on and off since 1908 when it was known as the American Grand Prize.
The Grand Prix later became part of the Formula One World Championship. As of 2022, the Grand Prix has been held 51 times at 10 different locations. However, since 2012, it has been held every year at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, except in 2020 when it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If the corners at COTA seem familiar, they should be. Turns 3 through 6 looks not dissimilar to Silverstone’s high-speed run through Maggotts/Becketts or the S Curves at Suzuka, while Turns 12 through 15 mimics Hockenheim’s stadium section.
Meanwhile, the uphill run into wide Turn 1 has provided some fine overtaking action in the track’s short life.

F1 United States Grand Prix Preview and Betting Odds
A triple-header across Alonso, Perez, and Hamilton will go a long way to determining the best of the rest in the F1 standings, after Max Verstappen swooped to the title.
Sergio Perez holds a 30-point lead over Lewis Hamilton, having not won a race since Miami in May, with Fernando Alonso a further 11 behind the Brit.
Hamilton has not tasted victory since the end of 2021 and not many are predicting a Mercedes triumph at Circuit of the Americas.
Not only is McLaren standing tall as Red Bull’s key competitor of late, but Verstappen also remains by far and away the favorite going into every weekend having claimed 14 of the 17 Grand Prix this season plus the last two USA GPs.
Our picks:
Max Verstappen to finish the season on the top of the Podium
Lando Norris to make McLaren’s presence known at 2nd
Sergio Perez to land in the podium on 3rd
Oscar Piastri takes the 4rth spot to keep at Red Bull’s toes
