Spring Training March 31st: Braves vs. Rays
The Atlanta Braves will be taking every team’s challenges as the defending world champs in major league baseball with their strongest band of batters while trying to get back from their last 7-10 loss versus a good team of the Red Sox.
The Braves tied with the NY Mets at 6-3 in the Grapefruit League Conference.
Atlanta will need a strong offensive production from their key players to bounce back from their last three-run loss to Boston and regain the solo lead in the Grapefruit League on Thursday.
Tampa Bay has been one of the best teams in the majors for the past three years but the Rays are experiencing a championship hangover that leads to their slow start after losing 7 games including their recent one-run loss to Baltimore.
Tampa Bay dropped to 14th place at 3-7 in the Grapefruit League Conference.
It’s been a rough spring training tour for the Rays and they will be losing their edge versus the reigning MLB champions, the Braves, who are our betting pick for the match.
Spring Training March 31st: Yankees vs. Phillies
The Yankees already beat the Phillies (14-2) at their home facility in Tampa on Tuesday but kneeled to the Toronto Blue Jays at 3-11 yesterday.
New York is in 12th place at 5-6 in the Grapefruit League Conference.
The Philadelphia Phillies will try to bounce back from their last 12-run loss to the Bronx Bombers on Tuesday when these teams meet each other again in BayCare Ballpark for a rematch on Thursday afternoon after a 1-7 loss to the Detroit Tigers yesterday.
The Phillies took 7th place at 6-5 in the Grapefruit League Conference.
Our pick is on the Yankees, despite the Phillies showing some strong batting skills, as they will have difficulty swinging their bats against the stingy pitching staff of the Yankees.
Spring Training March 31st: Angels vs. Brewers
The Los Angeles Angels have been off to a great start in Spring Training, currently sitting at a 7-4 record.
As the Angels hope this can be the year they get the monkey off their back and finally win a playoff game, getting a good jump on the competition at the beginning of the year is the perfect way to start.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been off to a slow start this Spring Training.
They will look to change their fortunes tonight and we should expect a strong performance from the National League Central champions.
Given that Shohei Ohtani is the LA Angel’s Opening Day starter, they might be quick to pull him out of the game so he doesn’t over-extend himself.
At that point, Christian Yelich and the Brewers can start teeing off, as they’ll be motivated to come into the 2022 season with a positive Spring Training behind them.
Spring Training March 31st: White Sox vs. Reds
The Chicago White Sox are coming off a win against the Texas Rangers last Wednesday by a final score of 7-0.
The win pulled the team’s record up to 7-6 this spring.
Of their last five, the White Sox managed to grab two wins, the other being from the Los Angeles Dodgers (9-0).
On the Cincinnati Reds’ end, the team recently suffered a loss in the hands of the Oakland Athletics by a close score of 5-4.
This caused the Reds to drop to 6-5-1 this spring.
In their last five games played, Cincinnati was able to claim a couple of wins, one from the Texas Rangers (7-1) and the San Francisco Giants (2-1).
The Reds also acquired a draw with the Colorado Rockies (4-4) this past week.
Look for Cincinnati to bounce back on their feet as they dominate over Chicago later tonight.
