The Puerto Rico Open 2023 is an exciting golf tournament that will take place on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. This tournament is the fifteenth edition and will be played March 2-5, 2023, at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, a municipality on the northeast coast of Puerto Rico. Golfers from around the world are expected to participate in this event.
The Puerto Rico Open has been a great success every year and continues to attract golfers worldwide, being held at the Grand Reserve Golf Club. The tournament is usually held in February or March and is organized by the PGA Tour.
This will be the 15th edition of this tournament and an incredible experience for all participants. It will feature some of the world’s best golfers and will be an excellent opportunity for all.
This time 120 golfers will battle for a juicy prize purse of $3.8 million and 300 FedEx Cup points, and the winner will take home the hefty sum of $630,000. This will attract some of the best golfers in the world, and the competition will be intense. The tournament will feature different events, including the Pro-Am, which will be held on the first two days.
This majestic event has had great players who today are among the best in the world, including Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland, Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Emiliano Grillo many others.
Grand Reserve Golf Club
The Grand Reserve Golf Club has Par 72 and 7,506 yards. The Puerto Rico Open will again be at the often windy Grand Reserve GC. Only two of the par five holes on the back nine are a long beast at over 600 yards. Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira of Argentina won the Latin American Amateur Championship held at the club in January by four strokes.
On the other hand, the Puerto Rico Open has never seen a back-to-back winner. That will continue as reigning champion Ryan Brehm competes in the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.

Undoubtedly, it will be a pitched battle at Grand Reserve Golf Club starting next March 2.
Scott Piercy, one of the top favorites and a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, is struggling this week and barely managing to place in the top 10. He has suffered throughout the 2022-2023 season, only finishing in the top six times in 13 tournaments. In his most recent outing, the Genesis Invitational, Piercy was T-50 and has gone seven tournaments without a top-30 finish.
Andrew Novak is a serious title contender. He is a target for anyone looking for a big payday because he has a much better chance of winning it all than his odds suggest. Novak has played well in his last two events, recording top-30 finishes at the Honda Classic and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
