The season kicks off at Highmark Stadium on Sunday when the Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a rematch of last season’s Week 14 showdown on Sunday Night Football. The Steelers defense presents some challenges early on, but Josh Allen and the Bills are starting to roll in the season opener. Look for wide receiver Stefon Diggs to pick up right where he left off in his second season in Buffalo. The Bills still need to figure out a bit in the ground game, but that’s just in the search for balance; the aerial game is still lethal. Pittsburgh has never had a losing record in his 17 seasons with veteran Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. This year’s version of the black and gold features a nearly new offensive line.

Buffalo’s defensive line has a solid chance against an ever-changing Steelers offensive line. The Steelers offense has some new wrinkles, with Matt Canada promoted to offensive coordinator in January. The Steelers have the edge defensively, but this game will come down to quarterback play and Buffalo has a big advantage in that department. Allen will do enough to help the Bills win this game despite a decent effort from the Pittsburgh defense.
