F1 Mexican GP Race Preview and Betting Picks
Max Verstappen is looking to hold off Lewis Hamilton, and he’s doing so with the slimmest of margins entering the next F1 race on the schedule, with just a 10 point lead.
That margin is razor-thin considering Verstappen’s task of facing off against one of the greatest drivers of all-time in Hamilton.
The schedule favors Hamilton, too, who has won in all of the tracks except the debuting two races (Qatar, Saudi Arabia) over the final five races of the year.
Another favorite to win is the Mexican, Sergio “Checo” Perez. He is the home crowd’s favorite and Verstappen’s teammate in Red Bull.
However, Team Red Bull may try to play things for the long run, to not conquer not only the Mexican GP but the World Championship.
This would require capturing first and second place, but if Lewis Hamilton manages to stay close behind, they will have to put Max Verstappen in First, and Checo at second to get the points required.
If they keep Hamilton away, they could get away with Checo getting first place and making the crowd happy to celebrate their country’s Driver.
We believe that the Red Bull drivers will get the lead, but will have to play it smartly against Hamilton’s pressure, and our betting picks for the top 3 go like this:
