With just over a week to go until the end of the Major League Baseball regular season, some teams need to continue winning to secure their position in the postseason, as is the case of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The reigning National League champion is in the wild card position and will start the series against the San Francisco Giants.

The Philadelphia Phillies at least secured the wild card, but the Chicago Cubs are the ideal rivals to win the division crown.

Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays will play for honors, while the Houston Astros have the chance to seal their qualification against their direct rivals, the Seattle Mariners.

The Philadelphia Phillies have already secured at least their place in the National League wild card. However, the mission is to ensure the East division, where they have a wide gap over the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves. Kyle Schwarber is having a great season, with 99 RBI and 36 home runs. Other names to keep in mind are Alec Bohm, Bryce Harper, and Nick Castellanos.

This season he has an 11-8 record with a 3.57 ERA.

The Mariners have a chance to close the gap in this series. If they sweep they still have options, but to do so they need strength in their arms, starting with their starter, who will be Bryce Miller, who has an 11-8 record, with a 3.08 ERA. They must pay close attention to catcher Cal Raleigh, who has 94 runs batted in and 30 home runs.
