The LMB playoffs are heated, and excitement keeps increasing as we get closer to the last stretch.

After close battles during the first play-offs of this 2022 season, the final 8 teams have been set.

4 teams of each zone walk into the next round, and with everything placed on the table, this is how the Zone Series of the LMB are matched up:

In the South Zone:

Pericos de Puebla is going to face the divisional leaders in Diablos Rojos de Mexico.

Leones de Yucatan will face Tigres de Quintana Roo.

In the North Zone:

Toros de Tijuana, the circuit leaders, will face Acereros de Monclova.

Sultanes de Monterrey clash with Tecolotes de Dos Laredos.

North Zone Series:

Series: Toros de Tijuana vs. Acereros de Monclova

This series takes place on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th, Monday 22th, and Tuesday 23rd, and could extend to the 24th, 26th, and 27th. 

Monclova had an excellent run in their season, and have been the 3rd place overall, but they ran out of luck this week, as Tijuana is simply looking forward to defending their status as last season’s champion.

This should be an interesting series, but Tijuana is more than likely to take the Win.

Series: Tecolotes de Dos Laredos vs. Sultanes de Monterrey

This series takes place on Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st, Tuesday 23rd, and Wednesday 24th, and could extend to the 25th, 26th, and 27th.

Sultanes de Monterrey is coming in strong taking one last chance to bring everything they have and maybe fight for the championship, but their run is likely going to fall short, as they have a tough match in Tecolotes.

This match-up will keep most fans on the edge of their seat, but we expect Dos Laredos to walk out on top.

South Zone Series:

Series: Diablos Rojos de Mexico vs. Pericos de Puebla

This series takes place on Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st, Tuesday 23rd, and Wednesday 24th, and could extend to the 25th, 27th, and 28th.

Diablos Rojos is the strongest team in the South zone by far, and they are going to go into this series and prove the reasons behind it.

Pericos are the toughest contender standing in front of Diablos, and once they are out, the Diablos Rojos should be worrying only about the match-up with the North Zone Champions.

Series: Leones de Yucatan vs. Tigres de Quintana Roo

This series also takes place on Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st, Tuesday 23rd, and Wednesday 24th, and could extend to the 25th, 27th, and 28th.

This could be the most interesting match-up for the week, as both teams are relatively the underdogs of the Zone, and anything could happen in this playoff, as they have had similar success so far in their season.
