After an exciting and impressive weekend in Brazil, the Formula 1 will close this weekend the last racing triplet of the season at the Qatar Grand Prix, which we will be able to enjoy from November 19 to 21, and this will be race number 20 of the world championship, that is to say, the penultimate race of the year.
With only three races to go in the 2021 Formula 1 season, the championship is still at stake thanks to the excellent battle that Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have given us in each of the races of the year.
The Qatar Grand Prix
This will be the first time that F1 has made its stop in Qatar, specifically at the Losail International Circuit, which is unknown to the drivers and, in addition to this; they have not had much time to prepare for this race since their announcement was at the entry into the World Motorsports Championship calendar.
The Losail International Circuit is located in the city of Doha, has a length of 5,380 km, and will run only 57 laps in total. The direction of the circuit is clockwise and has 16 curves, 10 to the right and 6 to the left.
The World Championship comes to this GP Qatar, red-hot since Red bull and Mercedes gave us a spectacular battle in the last two GP’s contested. We have to refer to the Brazilian GP, where Lewis Hamilton gave a master class throughout the weekend, managing to achieve an excellent victory in which he rallied 24 positions, 15 positions in the Sprint race on Saturday, and 9 positions in the Sunday’s main race.
Standings
The current leader of the table continues to be Max Verstappen, who finished second on Sunday at Interlagos and still holds a 14-point lead over current world champion Lewis Hamilton.
