Super Bowl

The Formula 1 travels to Miami for the fifth race on the Calendar, which takes place this weekend on an exciting season in 2023.

The place will be the Miami International Autodrome, a purpose-built temporary circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium and its private facilities in the Miami suburb of Miami Gardens, Florida.

The track is 3.363 mi (5.412 km) long and features 19 corners with an anticipated average speed of around 140 mph (230 km/h). It was designed and delivered by Formula One track designers Apex Circuit Design for this event, which was added to the Formula One calendar for the 2022 World Championship.

The circuit is on the private grounds of the aforementioned stadium and uses new and existing roads within. The permanent asphalt pathways of the circuit are integrated into the parking areas.

Each year and a few weeks before the race weekend, the circuit and its safety features are assembled just for the event.

After the race weekend, the circuit is dismantled and Hard Rock Stadium grounds convert back to normal.

F1 Miami Grand Prix Preview and Betting Odds

Going into the weekend, Max Verstappen leads the World Drivers’ Championship with 93 points, 6 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Pérez in second, and 33 ahead of Fernando Alonso in third.

Red Bull Racing, with 180 points, leads the Constructors’ Championship from Aston Martin and Mercedes, who are second and third with 87 and 76 points, respectively.

Even though almost everyone was predicting an easy third straight World Drivers’ Championship victory for Max Verstappen in 2023, his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez continues to pile the pressure on early into the season.

The Mexican driver put together the perfect weekend in Azerbaijan last time out to close the gap in the drivers’ standings to six points at the top and he’ll be desperate for more success in Miami this weekend.

As a result of his recent performances, Perez’s odds have raised significantly to win this race, though Verstappen remains the favorite. Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton all follow close-ish behind.

Our picks:

  • Sergio Perez will achieve gold in this race
  •  Max Verstappen will score a close second behind his teammate
  •  Charles Leclerc to make it into the podium on third
  •  Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonzo to fight over the 4th and 5th spots
