The 2024 United States GP will be the nineteenth round of the Formula One World Championship. It will also be the fourth of six Grands Prix in the season to utilize the sprint format and the second time overall that the United States Grand Prix has featured it.
The drivers and teams are expected to be the same as the season entry list with two exceptions: Franco Colapinto, who replaced Logan Sargeant at Williams from the Italian Grand Prix onwards, and Liam Lawson, who will replace Daniel Ricciardo at RB for the remainder of the season.
Max Verstappen has won the United States Grand Prix in three consecutive years, but, as has been the trend, this hasn’t mattered so much in other recent races.
He won three straight Dutch Grands Prix before a second-place finish in August and two Italian Grands Prix in a row before finishing sixth in September.
This makes it everyone’s shot to take the win at the United States Grand Prix.

2024 United States GP Preview and Betting Odds
Going into the weekend, Max Verstappen leads the Drivers’ Championship with 331 points, 52 points ahead of Lando Norris in second, and 86 ahead of Charles Leclerc in third.
McLaren, holding 516 points, enters this round as the leader of the Constructors’ Championship from Red Bull Racing and Ferrari, who are second and third with 475 and 441 points, respectively.
While Verstappen still leads the Driver’s Championship standings, Lando Norris has won two of the last four races and enters Sunday as the favorite.
While the Dutchman has not stood on the top step of the podium since the Spanish Grand Prix in June, he is still ranked as the second most likely to win this weekend. However, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri shares the same odds, the Australian having taken two victories this year.
Carlos Sainz holds the next-best odds of scoring a podium in Austin. The Spaniard took third place in the Grand Prix last year, having been promoted one position post-race after Lewis Hamilton was disqualified for a technical breach.
Speaking of Hamilton, the seven-time world champion will perhaps be hoping to make up for that disappointment this time – but both he and Mercedes teammate George Russell are rated behind Sainz in their chances of standing on the rostrum.
Our picks:
We expect Lando Norris to make Verstappen nervous while achieving the top of the podium.
Oscar Piastri to land the 2nd spot, giving McLaren a bigger lead in the constructor’s championship.
Max Verstappen achieved the podium on 3rd, fixing his recent mistakes but having to work harder.
Charles Leclerc and George Russel fighting for the 4th and 5th spots.
