We are amid the second half of the CONMEBOL Qualifiers, with nothing being defined yet, as not even Argentina’s lead is granted. Now, two teams that need to turn the page quickly clash when Colombia receives Chile.
The Cafeteros became the second victim of Bolivia’s new ground in this qualifying process, losing 1-0 in El Alto against la Verde.
La Roja had a tight match with Brazil that they started winning from the get-go, but ultimately lost thanks to Botafogo’s players’ contribution to the Canarinha.

Why bet on Colombia?
Colombia was the only undefeated team and had the chance to tie Argentina at the top of the table, but a goal by Miguel Terceros ended all that. The Albiceleste has been irregular recently, so there is still a chance to achieve the objective in this FIFA date. However, Lionel Messi and Co receive Bolivia, and we know how La Verde tends to fare in this scenario.
The Cafeteros now have four wins, the same number of draws, and a single loss, trailing Argentina at the top by three points. All the offensive responsibilities fall on the shoulders of James Rodriguez and Luis DÃas, as the plethora of interesting center forwards on the team has not been effective. Neither MartÃnez nor Cordoba did much in El Alto, and the latter was specially criticized in the media for his dramatic failure in front of goal towards the end of the game.
It seems like the situation from the Zapata/Muriel cycle is repeating, and without lethal center-forwards, the team struggles to define games, thus the high number of draws.
Why bet on Chile?
Chile has finally established as one of the worst teams in the CONMEBOL, something that seemed almost impossible a few years ago. The renovation required to leave behind their “Generacion Dorada” never came, and now the team is only safe from being dead last thanks to Peru’s dramatic downfall.
Seeing the national team without any player in a big or, at least, competitive team in Europe is a rare sight, as it was normal since Zamorano’s days. Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas are the best players, and they made an effort to surprise a weak Brazil in the last match but fell short. As a result, the Roja confirmed its fourth defeat in a row, with the most humiliating coming against Bolivia as locals last September. The team has five points from a single win, two ties, and six defeats.
There are no remarkable prospects in this team to have hope for the future, so it’s fair to say that they are in the wilderness for the moment.
Final Betting Analysis: Colombia vs. Chile
Since 2024, these teams have played 16 times. Chile has a slight advantage with four wins, with three going Colombia’s way and there have been nine draws, the most common result by far.
Their last game was in December of 2023 for this same qualifying process and it was a dull 0-0 tie. One could be tempted to tip a repeat of this result, considering that both teams come from failing to show their best face.
Still, itis clear that Colombia is a much more solid team, and at home, they should be able to dominate this Chile squad that has deficiencies in all departments. Go for a 1-0.
Go for a local victory at 1.573. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $57.3 for a total payout of $157.3.
