The first match we have in this summary was the big surprise of the day, that is, Grêmio’s victory over Fortaleza with a score of 3-1.

Fortaleza is fighting for the top of the table and came into this match with two consecutive victories. However, Grêmio took advantage of its local condition to take the three points.

Palmeiras had the opportunity to stay just one point behind Botafogo at the top of the table, but theywere held to a 0-0 draw by Bragantino.

As expected, Palmeiras dominated possession and virtually the entire match. However, Bragantino also had several dangerous chances near the Verdão’s area, but they were unable to take advantage of them.

After a very intense give and take during the 90 minutes, the match was very close to ending 0-0. Botafogo suffered, but they were able to take three golden points in this away match against a Paranaense team that is struggling and getting closer to the relegation zone.

Although Botafogo took the victory, it is worth noting that Paranaense never stopped trying, as they had 26 chances to score. However, only three of them could end up with shots on goal, which denotes that their offense is going through a terrible moment.

On the other hand, Botafogo was much more clinical, and although they did not dominate the match, in one of the few chances they had before the first quarter of an hour, they were able to score the only goal of the game.

Finally, we close this summary with the match between Bahia and Flamengo, where the visiting team achieved an excellent 2-0 victory to get back into the fight for the top. On the other hand, Bahia’s inconsistent performance has caused them to drop to seventh place.

The match was dominated from start to finish by Flamengo, as they set the tone from the opening whistle. However, it was not until the 35th minute that Ayrton Lucas scored the first goal.
