Steelers vs. Cowboys

We prepare for an NFL classic in week 5 of the regular season, as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys get ready to clash. This great game is celebrated every four years.

The hosts are the Pittsburgh Steelers, who come after their first loss of the season at the hands of the Colts, who took them to a 27 – 24 score. The team had an outstanding start to their season with three victories in a row, but they now have to bounce back.

We got the Dallas Cowboys as visitors after they picked up the pace, breaking their two-game losing streak with a good performance over the Giants in their last game.

Why bet on the Steelers?

The Steelers are no longer undefeated after a slow start in the last game and the resurgence of Joe Flacco. That doomed them in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It was the defense’s worst outing of the season so far, so they will try to get back to being a strong unit against an old foe.

The Indianapolis Colts raced ahead to a 17-0 lead before the Steelers even knew it. Another performance like that will bring a lot of blowback after their great start to the season.

Justin Fields has solidified himself as the Steelers’ starting QBwhether Mike Tomlin wants to admit it.Pittsburgh’s three wins are in large part due to stout defense, and they have some advantages upfront against the Cowboys.

Why bet on the Cowboys?

Nowadays, when things aren’t looking good in Dallas, just play the New York Giants to turn it around. The Cowboys got another victory over their NFC East rival to get to .500 heading into a tough stretch, possibly without Micah Parsons.

Micah Parson’s availability will be critical in this one. If he doesn’t play, the Steelers offense has a chance to make some plays.

While sitting at 2-2, the Cowboys’ stars, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott have played well. Prescott is posting numbers better this year than in any other (5th in passing yards in the NFL) and is on pace to head over 5,000 yards.

Final Betting Analysis: Steelers vs. Cowboys

It is likely that the Cowboys will try to copy what the Colts do on offense almost to a tee. Indianapolis’ use of motion is unlikely to show up as much in Dallas’ offense. Still, they will move CeeDee Lamb around the formation and into the slot where Joey Porter Jr. is uncomfortable playing compared to outside cornerback.

The Steelers may continue to come out in their basic spot drop Cover 3, and Prescott and Lamb have the ability to mash it, but they might not want to leave Lamb singled up in man coverage.

If Lamb and Prescott take over the game and dictate everything, the Steelers’ defense could struggle to slow down what the Cowboys do through those two guys again. Go for a victory for the visitors at the OVER.

Go for a victory for Dallas at 2. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $100 for a total payout of $200.
