The excitement continues in the English Premier League and, after five games played, Manchester City continues to lead the standings, this time with four wins and one draw, as they could only manage a 2-2 draw against Arsenal last weekend.
Liverpool and Aston Villa won their respective games to close to just one point behind City in the fight for the top of the standings. Then, we have the awakening of Chelsea, who have won three of the five games they have played and are only three points behind the top.
Similarly, it is worth noting that Manchester United and Tottenham’s start to the season has not been ideal. However, there is still a lot of season left to play, so, we can expect the awakening of these two great teams at any moment.

One of the pleasant surprises of the day was Fulham’s overwhelming victory over Newcastle with a crushing score of 3-1.
While Newcastle owned the ball for the entire match, Fulham also managed to take advantage of every moment they had to create danger in the opponent’s area.
Fulham started the match on the right foot, with goals from Raúl Jiménez (‘5) and Emile Smith Rowe (’22). Then, at the start of the second half, Harvey Barnes would give his team some oxygen, scoring the 1-2.
However, in minute 90+2′, Reiss Nelson managed to score 3-1 for Fulham and thus put the match to a close.

As expected, the Reds were infinitely superior to Bournemouth in this match and, before the end of the first 45 minutes, they managed to put the game to bed.
Liverpool’s dominance was reflected in the 26th minute when Luis Diaz scored the team’s first goal. However, this gave them much more confidence, and, just 2 minutes later, the Colombian scored again to give the Reds a 2-0 lead.
Finally, in the 37th minute, Darwin Núñez scored the definitive 3-0, to have a quiet second half and, above all, take care of the players.

Finally, the best game of the Premier League matchday was at the Etihad Stadium between City and the Gunners ended with a score of 2-2.
The match started as expected, with many scoring chances from both sides. However, Manchester City managed to take advantage of defensive lapses by Arsenal, for Erling Haaland toscore the first goal of the match in the 9th minute.
However, Arsenal could advantage of one of their first chances of the match in the 22nd minute when Riccardo Calafiori scored to make it 1-1.
Then, seconds before the end of the first half, Arsenal came to the fore. In minute 45+1′, Gabriel Magalhães scored 2-1, while, in minute 45+8′, Leandro Trossard was sent off.
Down a player for the second 45 minutes, Arsenal was perfectly able to withstand City’s onslaught. However, in the 90+8′ minute, John Stones managed to score the definitive 2-2.
