Why Bet on Querétaro?

Querétaro’s performance has been embarrassing. They have lost all five matches they have played in this tournament against Tijuana (1-2), América (3-1), Guadalajara (0-2), Monterrey (2-1), and San Luis (4-0), the latter in the Clasico de la 57. In addition, in the Leagues Cup, they drew with NYC FC (0-0) and then fell on penalties, losing to Cincinnati.

Adding the Apertura, Clausura, and Leagues Cup, the Gallos Blancos have gone 11 games without a win and have the worst defense in the championship with 13 concessions. Mauro Gerk knows the results have been terrible and recognizes that this could lead to his dismissal, so he is walking a tightrope.

The reinforcements have not contributed much. Víctor López has one goal while Alan Medina and Federico Lértora have one assist each.

Last season they did not fare well at home, winning two games, drawing four, and losing three. Their last victory at La Corregidora was on March 15 against Juárez (1-0). For this game, defender José Canale is suspended.

Why Bet on Cruz Azul?

One of the best teams in Mexican soccer returns, but is in a low mood after a poor performance in the Leagues Cup. Much more was expected of the Máquina in the tournament, but, they were eliminated in the round of 16 on penalties by Mazatlán.

In Liga MX, they are one of the five undefeated teams with three wins and one draw. They also have the best goal average with nine goals in four games, and the best defense with only one goal conceded, which was on the last date in the 1-1 draw with Toluca.

Greek Giorgos Giakoumakis, who arrived as a great reinforcement from Atlanta United, scored two goals against Tijuana and provided an assist versus Toluca, but much more was expected of him in the Leagues Cup, missing the penalty kick for his team to lose to Mazatlán. Carlos Rotondi, José Rivero, and Ángel Sepúlveda also have two goals.

In their previous ten official matches, Cruz Azul has only one defeat. It was in the last final against América (1-0).

Final Betting Analysis: Querétaro vs. Cruz Azul

The last time they met was on February 2 of this year, in the same stadium, and Cruz Azul won 1-3 with goals from José Rivero, Uriel Antuna, and Gabriel Fernández.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Cruz Azul as the favorite. Their Moneyline shows 1.70, Querétaro has 5.25, and the draw is at 3.60.

Despite the poor performance in the Leagues Cup, Cruz Azul is vastly superior to Querétaro, which is on a negative streak and still won’t get out of it, so the Máquina will take all three points. Go for a 0-2.

Go for a win for Cruz Azul. If you bet $100 at 1.70, you will gain $70 for a total payout of $170.
