On the other hand, America stumbled in their tournament debut against Angel City with a score of 1-2. America’s girls were unable to take advantage of the few scoring chances they had to go ahead on the scoreboard. They even came very close to conceding the 0-2, but, in the 90+3′ minute, Kiana Palacios scored the discount for the team.

As mentioned, they lost 2-4 to Tigres in their first match of the game and will now have to play for their lives against one of the strongest teams in North American soccer.

The feline squad began this tournament with a convincing and crushing victory over Pachuca with a score of 4-2. This was the only clash between Mexican teams on the first day of the Summer Cup 2024. In this match, Tigres completely dominated, to the point they had 24 scoring chances with 12 direct shots on goal.

On the other hand, the Houston Dash were the opposite, as they faced KC Current in their first match and were annihilated with a score of 1-3. The game was intense from start to finish, considering KC started ahead on the scoreboard in minute 1. However, Houston managed to equalize the actions in minute 20.
