The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend will start with practice on Friday, May 17. There will be two practice sessions, FP1 and FP2, each lasting 1 hour. FP1 starts at 07:30 ET, while FP2 starts at 11:00 ET.
Saturday, May 18 will feature FP3 starting at 06:30 ET, followed by qualifying at 10:00 ET. Finally, the race itself will be on Sunday, May 19, with lights out scheduled for 09:00 ET.
The Circuit: Autódromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari
The Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna is held at the Autódromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit, located in Imola, Italy. The track is named after the founders of Ferrari and is one of the classic circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.
Imola is a fast and flowing circuit, with a combination of medium and high speed corners. The track is 4.909 km long and has 19 corners. The two DRS zones provide overtaking opportunities at the Tosa hairpin and along the start/finish straight. Traction in the slower corners is important to maximize speed on the straights.
2024 Emilia Romagna GP – Favorites
Verstappen has been dominant so far this season and we expect him to continue that at Imola. The Red Bull car seems to have handled the track well in recent years and Verstappen’s driving style suits the combination of high-speed and low-speed corners. Barring problems, he is the favorite for the win.
Ferrari seems to have closed the gap to Red Bull and Charles Leclerc has been finishing just behind Verstappen in recent races. The passionate home fans in Italy will push Leclerc for the win, but Verstappen can simply overtake him. A podium is a strong bet for him, either way.
Norris took his first F1 win in the last race in Miami and will have plenty of confidence. The McLaren car seems to suit Imola and Norris’ smooth driving style well. He beat the Ferrari and Max in Miami and could do it again for another podium here.

2024 Emilia Romagna GP Betting Picks
Ferrari has brought some promising improvements in practice and qualifying. But their race pace on Sundays still seems lacking compared to Red Bull. Watch to see if Leclerc can push Verstappen for the full race distance.
