Wales vs. Poland: UEFA Euro Qualifiers Finals Preview

Wales vs. Poland

We have arrived at one of the UEFA Euro Qualifiers’ playoff finals, and things can not be more exciting, as it should be pretty competitive, especially with both teams coming in from excellent results in their last match.

We have a strong contender in Wales, as Rob Page’s side netted four goals while they overcame Finland, making their way to the final and looking to make their attempt at qualifying for the European Championship for a third time in a row.

Fernando Santos’ men scored five as they breezed past 10-man Estonia, as the Polish players were lining up to score.  They enjoyed 85% possession and total domination but still conceded on the break. The Baltics managed just one shot in the entire match due to Poland’s control and efficiency, although it went inside.

The winners of this clash will be placed in Group D at Euro 2024 along with France, the Netherlands, and Austria, facing the Dutch first up in Hamburg on June 16.

Why Bet on Wales?

Rob Page’s dispatched Finland 4-1 at home playing in Cardiff, and it was thanks to that same clash they managed to enter the finals as hosts, having to play once more in front of their crowd at Cardiff.

Harry Wilson became the star of the show against Finland, as he was pretty heavily involved in the first three goals – the opener coming just three minutes in the game through David Brooks before the Fulham winger teed up Neco Williams from a free-kick to fire a top corner rocket to double the lead.

In the end, there were four different scorers, so the Liverpool academy graduate didn’t have much competition as man of the match.  The British are at this stage as one of the best third-qualified teams in the group phase, in a group D shared with Turkiye and Croatia.

Why Bet on Poland?

Poland hammered a lackluster Estonia 5-1 in their Euro 2024 playoff semifinal on Thursday after the visitors were left with ten men before the half-hour mark.

The Poles overwhelmed a powerless Estonia who rarely left their half and had no goal attempt until midfielder Martin Vetkal pulled back a consolation goal in the 78th minute.

The thing is that Poland’s result would be great in most situations, but it stops being impressive when you count on their opponent’s performance.

Sames as Wales, the Poles reach this stage as one of the best third-qualified teams, following a lackluster participation in Group E, where they should have done better. This is probably the end of the road for the Central-European country “Golden Generation” that managed to take them to many important tournaments in a row, although without much success on the big stage. In that context, they must qualify at any cost.

Final Betting Analysis: Wales vs. Poland

Only Poland stands between Rob Page’s side and a third consecutive European Championships campaign in Germany this summer.

Poland will be a difficult opponent, as they have not failed to reach the finals of a major tournament since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and last missed the Euros in 2004. However, this time around, they endured a disappointing qualifying campaign, trailing behind Albania and the Czech Republic.

Page’s men are far stronger at home than they are on the road, and the same goes for Poland, who have a long unbeaten run in qualifiers in front of their fans.

But as bizarre as it sounds, given the emphatic final scoreline, there were elements of that first-half performance from Wales against Finland that will give their head coach cause for concern and will surely be seized upon by Poland if they are repeated in the final.

We expect a close and tense game that could go either way but with a slight edge given to the locals.  We believe the final result to be a 2-1.

Go for a victory for the British at 2.75. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $175 for a total payout of $275.
