Borussia Dortmund achieved its third victory in a row, this time beating AC Milan 3-1 at San Siro, and is the only one classified in the group of death since it reached 10 points.

At 10 minutes, Marco Reus scored the first from a penalty after Gregor Kobel saved Olivier Giroud’s penalty. Although Samuel Chukwueze equalized at 37′ with a cross-shot from almost no angle, the Germans took the three points with a bright collective action that ended with a pass into the net by Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (59′). The third was the work of Karim Adeyemi in the 69th minute with the complicity of goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who could not reject the ball.

Dortmund will close as judge of PSG and, with a draw or win, will secure first place. Milan will visit Newcastle, and they need to get the three points and hope for a victory for the Germans.

PSG missed the opportunity to qualify for the next phase of the Champions League and could only draw 1-1 at home against Newcastle, leaving them with seven points, while the English have five.

The ‘Magpies’ took the lead with a goal from Alexander Isak in the 23rd minute, who took advantage of a rebound given by goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma. In added time (90+7′) Kylian Mbappé tied the game with a polemic penalty.

To be safe in the round of 16, PSG needs to beat Borussia Dortmund in Germany, while Newcastle must hope that the French do not win and beat AC Milan at St. James Park. For now, the goal difference of Luis Enrique’s team is +1, and that of the English is 0.
