Where To Watch:
Why Bet on Janibek Alimkhanuly?
A 2013 World and Asian Championships gold medalist, Janibek turned pro in 2016.
The 30-year-old boxer (14-0, 9 KOs) won the WBO’s interim title last spring and has since taken two more victories over Denzel Bentley and Steven Butler, the latter of whom was stopped in only two rounds. And this event will be an opportunity for Alimkhanuly to build his brand on national television.
Why Bet on Vincenzo Gualtieri?
Gualtieri turned pro in 2015. The German has primarily fought in his home country and beat Esquiva Falcao in July for the IBF title. His confidence heading into the fight results from seeing similarities between Janibek and Falcao.
Gualtieri (21-0-1, 7 KOs) will be fighting outside his native Germany for the first time in his professional career. This time he’ll make his way Stateside to appear on a much bigger platform than he’s ever been on before. The European won the vacant IBF world title this past July with a unanimous decision win over Esquiva Falcao.
Now he hopes to ride that momentum.
Final Betting Analysis – Janibek Alimkhanuly vs. Vincenzo Gualtieri
In this fight, there are high expectations for Alimkhanuly’s success, as Gualtieri will face a huge challenge if we look at Alimkhanuly’s superior stats and track record.
The Undisputed Asian fighter has fewer fights, but his opponents have been tougher, which does give him an experienced edge in this clash, and it is expected for him to finish the fight before the last bell rings.
In this context, we believe a TKO around the 8th round is the most plausible outcome.
Go for a victory for the WBO Interim Champion at -850. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $11.76 for a total payout of $111.76.
