With the regular season over, the playoff table for the 2021-22 season is almost ready. In the absence of the Play-in finishing determining which will be the last two teams from each conference to access the postseason and be able to fight for the title, the positions of each team are already defined, and therefore so are the different crosses. It is therefore time to review what will be the different crosses that we will have in the coming days.
The Play-in will have a very nice battle between 4 teams from each of the conferences to find out which will be the two teams that will continue to live in their race for the championship title. The Denver Nuggets won their first game of the series against Golden State to put the series at 1-3; while the New Orleans Pelicans again stunned the Suns with a 118-103 blowout to even the series at 2-2.
The Bucks sentence the series against the Bulls
Once again with an excellent performance by the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo, who returned to charge with the current NBA champions, Milwaukee Bucks, contributing 32 points and 17 rebounds, and Grayson Allen, with 27 points, the Milwaukee Bucks crushed with a score of 119 -95 as visitors the Chicago Bulls and took a 3-1 lead in the first-round series of the playoffs; so they can sentence the series next Wednesday at their home, the Fiserv Forum.
Two days after humiliating the Bulls with a terrible 111-81 result, the Bucks returned to using the United Center as a recreation park and again with an intractable Grayson Allen, who with Khris Middleton absent due to injury, is dominating the Bulls from the three-point line.
The Heat crushes the Hawks to the rhythm of Butler
The Miami Heat practically assured their qualification for the second phase of the NBA playoffs this Sunday by prevailing categorically with a score of 110-86 at the home of the Atlanta Hawks, with a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds from their star player, the intractable Jimmy Butler, to take a 3-1 series lead.
Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 36 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and a block against the Hawks; who faded into the game completely after taking an eight-point lead in the second quarter.
Miami tamed its victory with amazing sets in that same period. They went 15-0 to take a 44-37 lead and sealed another 11-0 to close the quarter with a fourteen-point lead, 55-41.
The Nuggets are still alive in the series against the Warriors
The Denver Nuggets achieved a heart-stopping victory this Sunday against the Golden State Warriors with a score of 126-121 in a game that they had to win since they had lost the series 3-0.
The Nuggets managed to dominate the game with solvency until the last minute of the fourth quarter, when Stephen Curry put the Warriors two points ahead and in which the differential factor, in addition to Nikola Jokic’s 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, it was the excellent approach of his coach, Michael Malone, when designing the final plays.
In the final part of the game, it was Will Barton’s turn, who, freed in the corner after Jokic’s pass; scored the triple that made it 126-121 definitively and that keeps the Nuggets alive in the tie.
The Pelicans fight until the end and manage to Tie the Series
With a proud performance and an exceptional defensive game, the New Orleans Pelicans managed to tie the playoff series 2-2 this Sunday against this season’s super favorites to take the championship ring, the Phoenix Suns, by winning with a score of 118-103 on an electrifying night thanks to Brandon Ingram’s 30 points, Jonas Valanciunas’ 26 points, and José Alvarado’s contagious defensive effort.
José Alvarado was the key player in this game; as he mentally took veteran Chris Paul out of the game with his defensive aggressiveness. Particularly in the last quarter, in which his steals and sacrifice were key to this excellent victory.
