Spring Training April 3rd: Rays vs. Pirates
The Tampa Bay Rays scored 5.3 runs per game, which was good for second in MLB.
They produced 857 runs and had a .321 on-base percentage.
Tampa Bay blasted 288 doubles and 222 balls out of the park as a club.
The Rays pitchers gave up 184 home runs and 651 runs in total (5th in baseball).
Throughout last season, Pittsburgh hit 124 home runs and drove in 570 runs. They had a total of 1,328 strikeouts (25th in MLB) and 1,261 hits. During the previous season, the Pittsburgh Pirates had a team on-base percentage of .309 and a team batting average of.236.
In the previous season, the Pirates had a WHIP of 1.437 and a FIP of 4.74 as a team.
With 1,400 total hits surrendered, they were ranked 26th in MLB as a pitching rotation.
They gave up 213 home runs and 5.37 runs per nine innings (28th in the league).
The Pirates finished the season with 131 save opportunities, 78 holds, and 25 blown saves.
We expect this to be a close game, but our token is firmly placed on the Tampa Bay Rays.
Spring Training April 3rd: Astros vs. Nationals
The Houston Astros are returning from an American League pennant in 2022.
Many familiar names return, but star shortstop Carlos Correa is one glaring absence.
They are hopeful that teenage prospect Jeremy Pena can step in and become the club’s next outstanding shortstop.
The Astros’ rotation appears to be their strength heading into the regular season.
Houston features one of the finest rosters in baseball, led by talents Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Yordan Alvarez.
After beating the New York Mets in last Friday’s match, the Washington Nationals finally boosted their record as spring training draws to a close.
The team’s eight-game winless run came to an end with the 7-3 victory.
Washington only managed to win two games during the exhibition season, one of which came against the Houston Astros (10-8).
Jordan Weems earned the start for the Nationals in their last game.
The Houston Astros are one of the American League’s elite teams.
Despite the departure of Carlos Correa, the club appears to be on track to make another postseason run.
Spring Training April 3rd: Red Sox vs. Braves
The Atlanta Braves roster underwent some significant modifications.
The important exits of Freddie Freeman and Jorge Soler to competing National League challengers are manifestations of this.
While these are big losses, the Braves made several signings to offset these roster losses.
They are one of the National League’s underdogs this season and will be one of the most entertaining teams to observe.
Last year, the Red Sox depended heavily on their rotation to accomplish baseball games, and they will try to maintain that strength in 2022.
While the lineup was among the greatest in baseball a year ago, the pitching rotation was uneven at times and proved to be a problem in the playoffs against the Houston Astros.
Keep an eye on Xander Bogaerts as he is is one of the best shortstops in the league and possesses terrific power.
Both the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox are among the finest offenses in baseball, so expect lots of runs in this game.
The only thing that can be anticipated is that this will be a high-scoring match that will be thrilling to watch.
We are going with the Braves for this Match.
Spring Training April 3rd: Yankees vs. Blue Jays
The Yankees have played 18 matches so far, and they have 7 wins and a single draw.
The Blue Jays come in with 7 wins and 2 draws in 14 matches, and come from 2 draws in a row in their most recent matches.
In their three previous meetings, the Blue Jays have steamrolled the Yankees, and we expect this match to be just the same.
